Re: 1970s 1/4 scale CAE Sprint car
The wheels are off some of my other cars, but wont be the final wheels on this car.
The front wheels are WCM & the rears are off one of my Delaras.
I think I will be using one of my sets of Clint's wheels on this car ?

So sad to hear Gary has passed.
He will always be highly thought of and be remembered as a legend in the 1/4 scale sprint car world.

Re: Rc4wd Knock off hubs.
Thanks Emilio, I should have told you I was going to be away over the weekend.
I did see your postage cost & I'm happy with that if you decide to sell them in the future.

Re: Dalara Sprint Car on Trailer
I know this doesn't belong here, but this is one of the other toys we have on display in our living room. It really comes into it's own at night when we have the boat lights on....this & the sprint car are both great talking points amongst our friends. The full size boat 84 foot, built in Brisba...

Re: Dalara Sprint Car on Trailer
Emilio, thank you very much for rotating the pics. I must learn how to do that ! Hi CALr, yes, as Bob has said, I have a fantastic wife who enjoys having some of my toys on display. "If I own it, I want to see it".... I'm not a collector who stores stuff in a dark cupboard or shed. Unless ...

Re: Dalara Sprint Car on Trailer
I ment to post some pics of our sprinter from back in 1978.
It's this car I'm building as a 1/4 scale copy.
I tried putting these pics up the other day, but they were all upside down.
I have sent Al a message, so I'm hoping he can help me fix them.
Sorry guys.

Re: Dalara Sprint Car on Trailer
Thanks Bob, & no I haven't been able to find any info on the wheels. They are beautifully made & I've never seen another set like them. A bit like my Seers, the same as jay put up on the site a couple of weeks back. I will put some pics of those here shortly.

Dalara Sprint Car on Trailer
Hi Guys, I'd like to share one of my projects with you. I still have a lot to do on this Dalara & the Trailer really belongs to another project..... I'm building a 1/4 scale sprint car to resemble a full size 1978 C.A.E. sprinter that we raced back then & will post some pics of it soon, but ...

Re: Gilmer with Bulldogs/GOODYEARS
Bob it certainly changes the whole look of the car. Someone said it wasn't period correct, but it can be argued, neither are Jans wheels he supply's with a Gilmer.
I just think it looks Terrific, and as they say, "if you've got em Flaunt em"
