Re: Stamped steel wheels
Thanks again for your input. I'll give it some thought and look at the wheel types you suggested, but we don't have anywhere near as many options here as you have in the us and both the dollar and the import costs are insane right now so we'll see what happens. I'll let you know what I did in the en...

Re: Stamped steel wheels
Thank's for the input, but none of them have what I'm looking for. That's why I'm going this route. I don't believe I have what it takes to make my own, but I do have a small lathe and mill that I feel comfortable working with, so modifying wheels of a similar type to what I'm looking for is what I ...

Re: Stamped steel wheels
Yes, I know, but they are sort of close to the correct size and style and hopefully flat enough in the center to drill out both the bolt and center holes to make it fit. I've got a few different ideas, depending on how thick the rim is in the center. I think they are made with an inner and an outer ...

Re: Stamped steel wheels
Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately way too wide and no real way to make the rims fit my 6 bolt hubs.

Stamped steel wheels
Does anyone know if there are any narrow stamped steel wheels out there? Same size as front wheels (5/8th or so wide maybe) for the WCM -34 for all four corners.
I'm doing a 50's style streetrace rod build and want it as close as possible.

Wheels for a -34 project
IMG_1628_small.jpg Looking for a set of complete wheels for my -34 Roadster project. Either a pair of aluminum rear wheels (6 studs) which at least somewhat match the centerline type front wheel in the picture or a full set of some other type, aluminum or stamped steel, that fit the RC4WD knock off...

Re: Collection to be sold
Well, as I said in my first post, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about my experience and caution others to be aware of what happened. I have been looking for one of these cars in decent shape and at a reasonable price for years, so when this went south in this way I naturally got very dis...

Re: Collection to be sold
Robert Of course I'm upset! You told me in our first contact that You only needed to check shipping. Not a word about anyone else having dibs. If You had actually another buyer at that time, that makes it just as dishonest as far as I'm concerned. To both him and me. Or maybe the other buyer is clai...

Re: Collection to be sold "CAUTION"
Just want to give You all a heads up. Don't expect this seller (Robert Smith) to keep what he promises. We struck a deal on one of the '34 Fords last Thursday and agreed that he would get a quote on shipping and that I would pay for everything when he got back to me in a few days. When I didn't hear...

Re: Conley Precision
After a number of mails I got the information I was dreading to get from Gary. He told me that the completion of my car, not counting the current wait, was at least another year away, due to a number of circumstances, so I decided to cancel my order. Therefore I won't be updating this thread with an...

Re: Conley Precision
Ok, here's an update with more correct information. Gary sold his company including all stock, but plans to continue building on a smaller scale. He kept "all" machines, but none is operational yet. He doesn't have anything up and running at this time, due to both expected and unforseen ci...

Re: Conley Precision
Lovedr, Well, if I understood him correctly, Gary sold his company including name, rights and so on, but he kept all stock and plans to continue building on a smaller scale. I don't know how much of the machinery he kept, but I'll be in touch with him again later this month and I can update here whe...

Re: Conley Precision
Yes, that's correct. He sold the company and moved to Texas. I have '34 Roadster on order from him and got a bit scared when I heard about it, but he's taken his hole shop with him and he promises that he will finish and ship it in a timely manner.
