Re: VW oval beetle 1:4 scale

DAYUUUM Stef, awesome VW Bug body and details. Somehow I imagine it might be cheaper to build a real thing than the RC-version all things considered. Also to add realism one could put in the OS FF-320 Pegasus 54cc nitro fourstroke boxer four in it and make VW style exhaust (snakepit) and mount it in...

Re: Usable and exotic engines list

dtw;

who actually made that DOHC single? In what size?

There are alternatives nowadays if you want a four stroke but they lack punch drastically. They are more or less dogs to a person with performance orientated mind.

What are they worth? Diff in the back? Disc brakes for the rear only?

Yankee Benetton 1:4

Hi,

does this car have a REAL independent suspension or is it a mock-up? Or does it have a live solid axle in the back?

Re: 100cc twin cylinder 2-stroke 4WD

I decided to add more strength to the drivetrain. I took out all 3 plastic differentials and replaced them with aluminum differentials. Earlier I thought that The billet aluminum housings with plastic differentials would be enough but now I don't think so anymore. I also added an adjustable Limited ...

Re: 100cc twin cylinder 2-stroke 4WD

Well so far things are looking good. I will know more after more tests but now it seems that it will stay within temp limits without any fans. But the summer isn't here yet. I don't know what will happen at +30C... time will tell.

Here's something about the Honda fourstroke in an FG Marder. Should give you a good idea of the size and performance and sound:

Re: Usable and exotic engines list

Yes, that is obvious. If I look at that engine from technical and engine user perspective then it's nitro (=expensive fuel), 5HP (actually underpowered to basic Zenoahs), no spare parts availability at all, wankel's engine typical hunger for fuel and high rpm's without low end torque. So for the ask...

Re: Eddy Hill 1/4 scale Top Fuel dragster

A good job and and a great wife. I have them both myself and I can work in the garage with my projects everyday if I want to. But I don't want to do that everyday as I also want to keep my wife happy so I need to take her needs into consideration also.
