1/4 scale truggy ground up design for final year project
First draft of front suspension. I have started drawing stuff up so that I have a model to work off. Nothing but the tires are actual dimensions. I am currently learning what I need to for the suspension geometry. once I have that set I can then start doing the calculations for the dimensions of the...

Re: Scratch Built Stadium Truck
I think the correct term for that is the angle thingy! I know what it is, i have used one but I will never know what it is called. Thanks for the info. I am still probably 6 months off doing a frame. I have got a basic suspension design and am trying to organize geometry so that i can start on the s...

Re: Scratch Built Stadium Truck
you are doing a real nice job there. did you do all the bends yourself or outsource them?
If you did them yourself, can you let me know how?
thanks

Re: modeling putty ingredients
Have you looked up the material safety data sheet?
the Putty will have one somewhere online. maybe search under MSDS and the putty name.
any chemical used in it needs to be listed and you should be able to chase the paper trail somewhat.
Hope this helps

A heap of questions, Hope they aren't too stupid.
Hi all I have been interested in 1/4 scale foe years but only just rekindled the interest. I want to design and build a 1/4 monster truck/ Truggy AS this is a fun way to apply my current studies in engineering. Being that i am contemplating a ground up design and build, I have been trying to get as ...

Re: Question about TurnForce Servo
from an electronics point of view, i think that maybe the controller board could have a fault. especially if it has been re-soldered and the unit itself has been taken apart a number of times. can you take a couple of pictures of the circuit? As for the gears, have you looked at the bearings? When p...

Re: WCM SCALE DRIVER
Before you do fill the chest, I have a thought.
Maybe it is intended like that? to simulate the outstretched arms and racing harnesses in the vehicle?
Can i suggest sitting the arms on and seeing how it looks before you fill it?
Regards

Re: old style pickup truck bodies?
Looks like i will have to make one.
I have done some fiberglass mold work and I can design the body in cad off a matchbox car.
But that will probably be expensive.
Now all i need to do is nick some carbon fiber from uni for it!!!!

has anyone used a Go Kart engine?
Hi again I was talking to a friend today and asked if i could borrow some go kart wheels so that i can CAD them up. I was telling them about what i planned to do and they told me they had a couple of Kt100J Go kart motors left over from when their oldest son was racing. they then said I could have t...

old style pickup truck bodies?
Hi again.
Does anyone know if there is a 55 era pickup body available? Preferably Chevy as they look nicer.
Also
I live in Melbourne Australia and can't find anywhere that deals in 1/4. I asked at the Hobby Place (they stock 1/8) but they were no use.
thanks
