Re: Pacesetter Dragster- Ormsby Style
Well, since I am waiting on some parts to finish the funny car, I started cleaning up some of the parts off the dragster. I am not going overboard on buffing and polishing, this car will be raced afterall. Here is some of the rear end and a quick trial fit. I do need to replace the chains,...

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
Wow.. Might be on to something here. Thanks to Larry, it looks like he found the source for the clutches. Looks like they were originally made by Husqvarna, and a company called Poulan. The stuff looks to be still available through Poulan, fingers crossed my order will be "in stock"! http:...

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
Paul, how about a fender washer. I/ve seen them up to 3 inch in diameter. You just need to get one with a small enough hole to be threaded. That's what I was thinking, or worse case drill and tap the base with a couple holes to mount a fender washer. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/SongasRac...

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
I'm pretty sure it is.. The one way bearing in the pulley to start it will only let it turn over the direction the tires need to go forward.QSL wrote:Is the engine the correct rotation for the rear?

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
Could be a different engine... Although zoomie headers are a direct fit, and everything else fits fine. I just need to come up with a stopper for the back side of the clutch and I'll be ok.
Thanks guys

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
Flipping it will not work.. The thread depth changes, so to get the clutch lined up, the motor mount holes are off.

Re: Pacesetter Clutch help
The one that slid off is to be installed inside a clutch drum like on a chain drive. It can't walk out because the clutch drum with sprocket backs it. The other part, as you have it mounted, stops it from walking OUT of the drum. Try and blow this up to see what I'm talking about. The one on the ri...
