Can you post a pic of the chute and spring?? Is the spring by itself, or is there a teather to the back of the chute??

The spring most likely will go in after the chute. Depending on the pack/spring you may need a loop from the back end of the spring to close the pack properly.

There is a product made just for this. It's called ELO- Easy Lift Off- Most hobby shops have it. I have never used it, but the guys at my track use it a ton, and say it really works well.
