Re: 1/4 scale funnycar project
not a problem mike, just means i can use a couple more layers of carbon and the weight wont be a issue, this will make it even stronger,my scales are not small enough to be able to weigh it,haha!M.R. Ogle wrote:...so light you can't WEIGH it? And you think that's a PROBLEM??? LOL!!!

once the rest of the vanes and shaft ,etc are there it will still be very light, great for those speed runs if your building cars for that,my car is going to get bit of a thrashing, thats why im building it,not just to sit on the shelf, mind you i will have a body made just for show, dont want that one skidding on its lid down the track and getting gravel rash!,

Hey Mike, looking good Geoff

hi funky,FuNkY mOnK wrote:Mad Mike where can I get 3/8 tubing? Looks great!!
i went down to my local metal tube supplier,we use metric so it is 9.5mm was told its the closest to 3/8 in steel tube it has a 1.2mm sidewall,5.5 meters cost $19.00 nz (approx $14.00 us),im using this for the test chassis, then 3/8 chromoly and 1/4 chromoly for my good chassis,
any more questions just drop me a email,
cheers mike
