Great job, very clean... you're certainly a pro!

Glad to see this one coming to completion. So many Q-scalers start body projects, a very very few ever actually get them done.

Looking forward to seeing the first bodies!

FuNkY mOnK wrote:I would leave the rear wing natural. Is that silver paint for the pin stripe or tape? can you show step by step of your masking technique? I always loved the Castrol paint scheme, that and the Skoal Bandit. Beautiful work.
hi funky,
the silver is painted, its very simple to do the pin strip, you mask the shape to be painted to the outside edge of the silver, you spray the silver basecoat (i used my airbrush) once its dry you then mask over the silver with a thin pinstrip masking film, this protects the silver from the next colour, then you spray the red or what ever colour you choose, then when you unmask the tape off areas it reveals the silver ,then the rest of the masking is removed and its ready for clearcoating,
im going to make a second alloy wing for this body aswell so i can paint it red and have two i can inter change on this car,
next time i do some painting i will get some pics,

cheers mike
