hi guys,
got some of the tig welding done on the chassis tonight,i changed the top chassis rail so the twin cylinder fits better ,just need to sort the diff and rims and its getting closer to getting it finished and giving it a run,any suggestions for what clutch would be best to run with this engine,it is 10.5 hp so i want something that wont slip to much,

cheers mike

Man, that thing is going to be a beast!

I have no expertise on other types clutches beyond the standard pocketbike / fifth scale centrifugal ones we pretty much all use. But those are used to haul around vehicles with 150 pounds of PEOPLE on them, so I'd bet they'd work just fine, you'll just have to use some real aggressive clutch shoes.

I'm sure there are some members on here who have more experience with different clutch types who will be able to help.

hey the best clutch ive used is the ELCON Adjustable 4 Shoe Clutch
is ajustable to what ever rpm you want it to engage at
you will need a bellhousing to go on the engine and a clutch bell and carrier
theres a few differnt ways you could set it up using differnt brands
give bryan a ring 0800 724-722 tell him i sent you

I do like that second iteration better. It's more scale.

Regardless, you are one talented dude!!!

Yes and no.. I sort of like the 80's deal with my car. Once my vette body is done I was thinking about doing the Cutlass body. If I ever get a pan style funny car , I'll do a newer body.

Sweet job on this car though, be proud of the work you have done.
