Wow. That's amazing that it's all one piece, no seams. Yeah, that moldmaker guy certainly knows his stuff!

This body was made with cloth instead of mat to see how light they could be. It ended up being way too light and flimsy. The rest of the bodies are going to be laid up with mat and will be much more ridged. The roof line will not sag like this one...

Well, for someone who actually wants to RACE with one of these bodies (thinking Pro-Stock drag class here) I bet they'd be HAPPY to have a too-light body and go in and brace it up where necessary. Glassing in a few Carbon Fiber strips isn't that much trouble.

Real modern Funny Car bodies are done like that, they're pretty flimsy until they add all that inner structural bracing!

Anyway, I'm really happy to see these come to completion in such a relatively short time, like 4-5 months from idea to production bodies.

Mike, you're the maaaan!

i just recieved confirmation that the mat layed up bodies came out great. I should be able to pick up bodies and the mold this week.

Unfortunately since we did not get everyone in on this deal like originally planned, My portion of the poject is just over $900 and i dont get a body. But i do get the mold so i guess one day if i want a body, atleast i can make one. Originally we were going to spread the cost over all the purchases, but i did not want to raise the price to what was required the last minute for the guys that did go in.

I hope everyone enjoys these and again, thanks mike for YOUR hard work and effort on this.

looks pretty good there!

Here is a pic of mine. Its the mold in its permanent resting spot....   That represents $1500 sitting there out of my own pocket. Thinking back now, i should have brought it to the shooting range instead. For now on, thats my new rule!
