Rod5 on a old custom Yankee Chassis

Post by eightman »

hello guy,
i made a body to fit on baja5 but i also planned to use it on Yankee Porsche chassis because it's the same wheelbase!
whith the help of a friend we have made a racing version using a custom chassis made in the 90's to race in 1:4 scale.
We put Yankee F1 tyres to make it look bad, then added wood wheels cover to aim vintage look
i'm machining rear spoiler stand to look like the one drawn on the pics, to fit my Renault megane spoiler...
just need to do a racing paintsheme for it...

note exaust that could be used with a "1 in 4 in 1 tube" going out the front hood!

Totally cool.

I'd love to see a pic on a Baja5 chassis. Thinking of a good paint scheme right now!

Hello,
Hope you will place the body little more down, push back also to the rear cause actually the proportion is little weird. Make fit the rear wing and the rear axle. It's a good base for a lake runner. Last thing the rear wing push more to the rear too and amke it bigger.
But it's just my point of view.
Cheers.
See you Whoz.

you're right, we have to lower the body and cut a little.
the rear wing... we made test with bigger one but it was not so nice...let's see what it will look painted
