1/4 Scale Stockcar Project

Post by Racer »

Hey Guys,

After much thought, I have finally decided to start up a 1/4 scale stock car build.
Below is the frame which I have been designing in Solidworks over the past 2 days.
4130 Chromoly is the metal of choice.
Solidworks has an estimated weight so far of 12.47 lbs.

Well, the plan is for a live axle rear end with two trailing arms and a panhard bar.
I also have it setup to accept the reg 8oz tank or an optional 24 oz testing / fun run tank.
Interesting Delara chassis. That is the first time I have actually seen one.

Looks great mate, are you going to run a roll centre in the front or just having the hiem jointed top and bottom arms on to the spindle?? I have small ball joints that I am using in the front of my dirt car so I can run a rollcentre.
