Pacesetter Funny Car

Here are some pics of my Pacesetter funny car the day I took it out of the box.

It's in real good shape and did not need much to get running. I rebuilt the carb and have most of the electronics done and it fires right up.

Next steps, finish electronics, finish exhaust, work on body. :D

Hey Paul glad it arrived in good shape with no problems.
Can't wait to see you start on your project, its gonna inspire alot of us drag racers.

Funky the car here is not yours, only thing that was is the body, I have 6 of these cars right now, I just don't have the time or money to restore all of them, so a few had to go.

Paul enjoy the car, can't wait to see some videos of it blasting down your track!

Good luck
Pete

This one is almost done, just need some decals now.

We usually use go kart tires, but I think I am gonna give these New era rear tires a chance, I just hate the fact of gluing those rubber bands on...
I'm trying to keep this as light as possible, so we will see how it goes.

Hey guys..

Quick update.. I ran it up and down the street a couple times today without the body.

Has anybody used a rubber spacer or anything between the motor mount and the frame to help absorb some of the vibration?? This thing vibrates like crazy.

Local small engine shop 3 miles from my house.

Walbro # D10-WAT

He told me tt looks like the D10-WAT is a kit used for several carbs, as there are some other gaskets that are not used in there. But all the ones I needed were.

Progress!!

Fired it up today and did a little run down the street with no body. I need to tweak on the carb screws a little bit but not too bad.

It's almost done. Just need to finish the exhaust, wheelie bar, and chutes.

I'm going to wait 'till the car is done and driving good before I start on the body. I just did some quick decals for now.

I will have video up soon.

THAT'S the one!!!

I couldn't find a pic of that car to save my life, but ...THAT'S IT!!!

Heck, it's already white... it'd be an easy one to pull off before you do the full-on "Burger and a Coke" car.
