Qrs stadium truck restoration
Got this off eBay a couple months ago. It was pretty rough but after many hours cutting and welding it's coming together well. Still some parts to order, right now getting ready for the paint graphics. I'll load more photos as the project progresses.

Looking phenomenal! going to be a stunner! Btw is that an AS-350 Funkey in the background? I just sold mine a couple of weeks ago

Re: Qrs stadium truck restoration
Thanks! That one is a 500d Hughes for one of my gasser Helis, another project I'm working on. I have several including a couple gas jobs, all the rest are smaller. Aside from that are a few Losi 5th scale trucks. Eventually though I'd like another funny car, or dragster, miss the one I had real bad. It'll depend on selling or trading this truck, even though I'm putting way more time and money into this project than I should but I want it to be proper.

Thank you sir, it's been on and off the back burner lately due to helping other people with side projects. Well that and playing with the helis and 1/5 scale bashers given the time of year. Need to order up all the control rods before it sits as a rolling chassis, maybe by then I'll decide what graphics to paint on the body. More pics to come as it goes, I'm in no rush just a rainy day project!

Thanks, worked on the rear a little now I'm setting up the front end. The idea with contrasting colors is to make it stand out, when I get to the graphics on the body I'll incorporate the orange somewhere to tie it all together. Luckily paint is the easy part, everything else just takes time.

I'm trying to go for the old Toyota pickup with big tires look, mostly just to be one off. Easier said than done but that's what makes it fun.

Love the chassis and Love the trains painting with the graffiti in the background.

Wow good eye, I know this the wrong section but here's a couple better photos of the trains. The locomotive is India ink, the other acrylic (still deciding how to finish the background on that one)
Re: Qrs stadium truck restoration
Love your work, you could do a background with a silhouette of a station with people wearing top hats or a silhouette of John Henry and his sledgehammer.Keep it mysterious. Just my crazy opinion.

Crazy opinions are the best ones usually! I sometimes use a straight edge to keep things on point but most is usually freehand.
