Quickdraw GN to Blue Thunder

Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to add a Quickdraw GN to my 1/4 scale collection. The car, formerly owned by member PTModIT, is in good condition.
Work done so far includes a little bit of chassis cleaning and polishing. The ABS Thunderbird body that came with the car has been repaired many times with rivets, sheet metal, and shoe goo. My current work plan is to carefully remove the rivets, sheet metal and shoe goo, and to plastic weld new ABS material (using a soldering iron) into the cracked bodywork. Missing pieces of fender and front end will be cut from sheet ABS and 'let into' the body where needed.
If I can successfully repair the body I'll refinish it to resemble Mike Cook's Blue Thunder Bonneville salt flat car.
