PDP dragster almost done!
PDP dragster almost done!
Its almost ready! Needs a swivel for the drive line, exhaust pipe, smaller front tires, some brake/throttle issues, and some paint. But other then that, it is ready to go. I made my own engine mount today. Couple of shims under it here and there and it should work (fingers crossed). Hope to have it under its own power by the weekend. Roger.

Looks great. That thing has come a long way since being found back in the weeds behind Jerrys RC.

Paul, Thank you for digging it out of those weeds and allowing me the pleasure of owning a piece of history. Roger.

Is that what the Spicer rear foams are for?
I saw that he was offering foam tires on another RC drag forum. I haven't seen him on here, though.

The rear foams that Spicer is making for me are for my funny car. I may try them on this car to see how they do since the kart tires are a little on the heavy side. Roger

Re: PDP dragster almost done!
Just plain beautiful. That thing has to be one of the best looking dragsters out there. The PDP guys nailed "the look" and stance of a mid-late 80's dragster. The LRU body went on it real nice too.
Good job getting that thing finished!

Re: PDP dragster almost done!
Bryant, I fired it up. Adjusted the servo's but didnt like the brake system. I ran it down the street a couple of times to adjust the engine and still didnt like the brake. The fuel tank i put in it started leaking on the last run. The last run because when i hit the brakes the wire cable i had in it snapped. I was able to steer it up into a drive way and into my neigbors yard to stop it. Since the it has been sitting on the shelf for a new break system. Roger.
