Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Hi Dan.
The picture on page 7 of the sprint car chassis with the Conley with the guy in a red t shirt and the guy on the left with the white t shirt and black hat is mine . I am the guy in the white t shirt. This was taken at a Vintage car meeting in the south of France around July 2007.
I have not done any more on it at the moment. One day I will get back on to it . At the moment I am designing a 1927 T model Ford 1 ton truck street rod . This will have a steel body made to exact scale . All panels will be exact 1/4 scale replicas of the originals .
In the not to distant future I will start downloading a series of construction photos . It will be fitted with a V8 motor and loads of billet parts.
Love your collection of photos....
Graham

Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together.

Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Dan,
Mate, the yellow and blue Castlereagh Jewellers # 77 was my car. Again, I cannot find any photos of the sprinter. Thanks for posting that one. Do you have any others? I love to get them.
That was the 1st Pro1 imported into Australia. I brought it out from the 'States to run the 2006 Australian Title at LQSS.
BTW....Thanks for all the work you did in posting all those pics.
Much appreciated,
BJ

Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Dan,
This pic is of Geoff Miles' sprinter. It is a pretty historic car in terms of Aussie 1/4 scale.
Built by Keith [ Nobby ]Noble and John Cooper, out of Adelaide South Australia in the late 1980s ...very, very early 1990s.
Geoff Miles from Sydney, bought this car from Nobby and Coop, as maybe the 2nd NAC [ Nobby and Cooper] 1/4 scale sprintcar to be built in Australia. I do have photos of this car somewhere...I think...
Sadly Nobby passed away earlier this year. He was a good friend. We were together at the Warrnambool Sprintcar Classic in January this year and also travelled together to the USA, to witness the Knoxville Nationals in 2010.

Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Dan,
I believe Geoff still has the #37 car!
Now some of my main man... Mr Terry Bennett. The person who built all my cars and more 1/4 scale sprintcars in Australia, than anyone else
These were taken at the BIG BOYS TOYS Expo, Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre, Sydney Australia...wow .. I'm thinking 2000...
The white sprinter is my 1st car from Terry. Told him I hated white cars, so he added some black, as you can see from the earlier pics you posted. This is the one sitting my shed with the dirt still on it!
Excuse the print quality... these were taken on slide film..... remember when that was all the rage!!!!
