Quickchange Rears

Post by bobjeffreson »

A young guy in Perth Western Australia, Mike Rimmer a 1/4 scale sprintcar racer, is producing these wonderful QC rears. They are machined from 7075 grade aluminium and can come anodized.
These are available for purchase for AU$1000, with three different change ratios and Genuine Honda driveshaft.

Amazing what can be done with CNC. I disassembled a mini angle grinder and found some really nice helical gears inside.

Keep up the good work of getiing this hobby going again.

Mike has sent through some photos of the internal gears. The diff weighs in at 1320 gms and comes with change gear ratios of 6.0, 6.6 and 7.4. I think 6.3 and 7.0 were also listed.

Looks well built. Does he have the drag racing version with the extended side covers?

They sell in Australia for AU$1000 plus shipping. The conversion rate is approx US$930 plus shipping. When I first posted, he had sold half of the batch in the photo.
