Outlaw Camaro

Post by showa »

Any idea what happened to the Outlaw Camaro mold???? Now there was a Saturday night pavement/dirt body style......
The last I remember them running was an "open" pavement class...I think it was 2hp motor w/pipe , big carb, etc....
You can see them in clear/black hanging in bins in the Raco historic pics section....Also I think that pic of Jon Rahe standing at a track may have been the old Silverbowl Speedway, Las Vegas...........(I helped build that one)....

I wish I knew where it was! A lot of stuff got thrown away when they closed up... maybe that was one of the things?

Hey Mike, What would it take to make a mold off of an original abs body. I bought a ABS outlaw camaro body that is uncut. I was going to make a fiberglass mold and make some fiberglass bodies but if you have the connection to get them out of Lexan that would be even better. Let me know what can be done, and how much.
Thanks,

Well that killed that Idea. I dont think there is enough people to buy that many bodies. I think I will just make some out of fiberglass to use on my car and keep the new body uncut .I thought I would ask.
Thanks

What do they make the actual "plug out of. I have a friend who has wanted to build a vacu forming machine for a while now. He owns a vacuum shop and said he had the stuff to build. I could work with him to build it but I dont know what to make the plug out of.
Any Ideas?

its epoxy. I have some of the PRC body molds and the outlaw is still around. I am seeing if I can get that one or not.
