Studley Tool Cabinet

Post by bobjeffreson »

Holy hammers Batman, check this out.
For any members that are into woodwork, here is the ultimate tool box. Built by a gentleman named Mr Studley, a piano maker, at the turn of last century, it is just a work of art!
Check out you tube to see how the cabinet operates.

Bob, thanks for sharing.
I'm guessing the master craftsman that made this kit doesn't require gobs of glue/filler at a forty-five degree corner when trimming out a door/window/picture frame like I do. I grew up welding/grinding/forming metal and hate finish woodwork, but I have a lot of respect for those who can do it well.

Also, drinking beer is really not conducive to calculating a proper compound miter cut (unless you have a lot of time and a substantial amount of raw material). You can make a "template" and it will still end up wrong, leading to another beer. Rinse and repeat.
