If you have an RC that is not 1/4 Scale you can still post here for full range discussion on all types.

1/3 Scale Go-Kart

Post by luv2flyrc »

Hello Everyone,

I bought this 1/3 Scale Go-Kart a couple of years ago and its been sitting ever since. It was made in the 80's by a company called Go-N-Play in Brantford, Ontario and is called the Lil' Zipper Kart. I have all of the parts (although some will need to be replaced) as well as the manual. It came to me with the original Force .21 Nitro engine that I already cleaned up and put new bearings in. There is some work required but on the bright side, all of the new old stock parts are still available online making this an easy one to restore.

It should look good when completed with all the fairings installed, etc.

Thanks,

Dave

Did a bit of a cleanup and polish on this thing and started assembly. Installed new engine bearings. I'm not sure how much I will run this thing after the first couple of test runs but it will look cool sitting on a shelf. I still have to repair and install the seat, install the throttle/brake servo and linkages, run the fuel lines & install the exhaust. I have to find an air filter for it which should be easy enough.

Once this is done, I will start on the Raco GN that I bought recently. :D

Some of you guys might be wondering what a 1/3 scale go-kart looks like in terms of size. I took these photos of the 1/3 scale go-kart next to a 1/4 scale car (body) next to a 1/4 scale airplane. Enjoy :)

Hi there . I have just picked up one of these Karts .It needs a few parts like the body kit / driver / tank and rear servo mount plate and throttle / brake link , the pins or clips that hold the frame / front guard parts together , pedals ,and I could do with a manual . Do you have any spares for sale? - or even a copy of a manual for it? Any help greatly appreciated .Thanks
