1/8 aluminun midget racer

If you have an RC that is not 1/4 Scale you can still post here for full range discussion on all types.

Thank you Al. I made the header today which was pretty simple, I made a flange and inserted the pipe flush then welded and filed from the inside, looks nice and clean this way. Going to leave it short and stubby like it is, don't want the long pipe to the rear tire. Also thinking of making a rounded belly pan to give the car a nice aerodynamic look, the profile of a jelly bean, lack of better words. Hope you enjoy this project!

Emilio

I have always loved tether cars and their history. Once i get my 1/4 scale cars under control my dream is to have a tether car to display on my desk.

I have to correct myself on the title of this racer, looking at photos from the net became obvious that this racer fits more the vintage sprint cars and not midgets.

Hey everyone, after 6 months on and off pretty much finished with this project, this car can actually run just needs a fuel tank and idle screw. In the interim I acquired a BB Korn Indianapolis tether car aluminum castings from over 40 years ago and will post this project when I receive it. I will start some 1/4 scale projects soon, also have some large scale projects in mind possibly larger then 1/2 scale or go kart size 40s style Indy car, who knows? Hope you are enjoying the projects. 8)
