What's up everybody

Post by Emilio »

Just like to say hi to all the new members and all the old farts, happy to be part of this quarter scale site again, I lost 2000 posts when I left but if everyone participates it won't take long reaching that again. Anyway, happy spring to all (thank god) time to move forward.

Not really sure what caused the problem. There was a bunch of advertisements in Chinese looking script. When I tried to delete, they kept posting. All i could do was to delete the account. I was new with the site at that time, maybe things would turn out different now.

In the beginning, the site was getting 100-150 bot attacks a day. It was impossible to tell the difference between a real new registration or a bot. Since then we have updated the security and the software for the site. All the bot attacks are now a thing of the past, and i feel confident when i approve a new registered user. Things are smoother now. Al

Although sometimes in most cases you could hardly tell people and bots apart, I try and figure this out on a regular bases with management at work
