Hi Mike,
I thought there were only the four? Once production had started. Were there any changes made? Also what was the cost (new) for the sprinter??
Thanks, Oldschoolmidget

There were 4 prototypes made and THEN he started production on them. Not sure of any differences.

Anthony,
Mate, no that Pacesetter does not belong to me. I moved the photo over from the Legends page, that Mike had so kindly restored. As I said.. I just fell in love with one of the most amazing 1/4 scale cars I've seen.
Mine is coming along slowly. Motor had not been started for nearly 20 years so we are working on getting that operational. Seized solid with castor oil, so it's currently soaking in methanol to free up everything. Also debating whether to add a roll bar. It certainly improves the look, however it did not come with one. Trouble is...the adds had the cars with bars, so I'm in a quandary!
Anyone got anymore photos of Pacesetters... be terrific to see them.

Ok bob, made a call for your. The rollbars were not standard. Funny story... a customer wanted one on their car and Jeff had some stainless tubing in his shop so when he made one for the customer, he made a few more. About 10 total. Some were put on customers cars for a fee.

On the exhaust issue we spoke about before... he said all cars he built came with them. it was a simple header that went to the front of the car and then bent out of the body and went along the side out the back. Your car sounded like it was a kit version that the guy made.

Mike,
Thanks for that info. I might go with the roll bar. It's a better look and as Jeff made some, I don't feel bad about adding one to mine. I assume that the pipe in the photo on the Pacesetter page is the same as described by Jeff. Anyway we'll work something out.
Thanks again Mike.
