Exhaust Temperature

Post by Venomusss »

Does anyone know the exhaust temperature on a G2D???
I am looking at different finishes and paints for the exhaust headers. Some of the nicer finishes may not be able to take the heat. I can have them ceramic coated but the finish is a glossy silver or black.... not that great looking. Chrome plating is an option.... but it seems plating has gotten very expensive ( Thanks EPA ) and I want something different.

Thanks, Chris

Hot then to Burn LOL. Just kidding.I've never tested that .But if you have a temp gauge used for nitro cars I'am sure that will work to get a reading. I have the Duratrax model. I think I paid around $30 here in Canada.

Check out Eastwood Company. Here's a link to some of the high temp paints that are used on full scale cars. I've used the Stainless Steel and black and they lasted for years on a daily driver:

Ok, got some new batteries for the temp gauge. I will post my findings here.
