Whats a good engine and size for a chain driven pacesetter dragster please help.

Go to Dave's Discount Motors at http://www.davesmotors.com/ they have a large selection of motors that will work in your application. The CY series of motors is a good choice, they range from 26cc to 46cc (CY460).

Post some pix of your project

I have a McCulloch Mac Eager Beaver 2.0 C.I.D. Mini Chainsaw engine with a pull start out of a chain driven FC if you are interested.

Are the cy engines the right rotation

They are not the correct rotation. You need to find an engine that turns counter clockwise looking at the pullstart side. The older Quadra and Petco engines are the correct rotation. Some chainsaw engines are the correct rotation but difficult to fit.
You might look at Al's engine, as it sounds like it will work if it came out of an original Pacesetter car.

Also the Zenoah g62 will work.
