Is it going to be the same width in front as in back or is that just the way it looks in the picture?

Re: I've started my 1/4 scale dragster Update Pics.
Here is a update on my build. Cardboard wing made for mockup . Gearbox mounted.Built the rear wing support.Picked up a G62 motor yesterday. . . . ..
Re: I've started my 1/4 scale dragster
It looks like you're making good progress with it....awesome. Is that G62 an airplane engine? Just wondering what will be involved to adapt it for your purpose? In particular, I was wondering about cooling since you don't have cooling from the prop wash as you would with an airplane.
Keep up the good work!!

Re: I've started my 1/4 scale dragster
Hi, Yes it's a G62 motor from a plane. There are parts out there to connect it to the gearbox. No worries for cooling as it only runs 3 seconds at a time.LOL.
Re: I've started my 1/4 scale dragster
LOL...yeah I guess I wasn't thinking about it that way.PTModIT wrote:No worries for cooling as it only runs 3 seconds at a time.LOL.
The G62 has been an excellent and reliable engine for airplane guys for a lot of years (along with all of the Zenoahs). I have a Zenoah G26 in a 1/4 scale Taylorcraft and a second G26 in a Funtana X100 and they never miss a beat.
