Pacesetter Funny Car

Post by PaulSongas »

Moving this project to the drag racing projects forums...

Here are the previous threads- (Original chassis, and new chassis, same body)

The chassis is 95% done now, I just have to work on the throttle and brake linkage to get them perfect.
Getting the body ready for paint it next.

Well I got it to make some nosie tonight  I had taken the headers off so I could have better access to the carb (fuel pick up problems) Man this thing is freaking loud! I need to put the tank and everything back in place, then I can tune it a little better. I may have to play with the getting the clutch more centered in the bell also which is going to be real fun (not)

It starts and runs now, so one more step complete.

Wrap the clutch shoes in 1/2 inch painters tape until it just fits inside the clutch bell. Leave a little tape hanging out. Bolt the engine and mount in place. Slowly pull the tape out. Thats what i did when i had to center mine. The blue or green painters tape pulls off easy because theres not much room there. Hope this helps. Roger.
