Al Gibson's New Era Dragster Build

Post by Al Gibson (QSL) »

I just got my frame back from Polishing Proz in El Cajon, they did an awesome job on the blasting and powder coating. Polishing Pros is also chrome plating a few items on the dragster as well as ceramic coating a couple of exhaust pieces. If you are in Southern California and need this type of service, please look them up. This is the "Official" start of the New Era dragster build.

I just got my chrome plated exhaust and suspension back from Polishing Proz and they are awesome. I also got this set of headers ceramic coated and they look amazing. The guys at Polishing Proz know their business.

Hi Al
I must say that, all the rails I've seen done in the past and although done beautifully didn't have that certain charm factor, or have the right stuff combined to do so to separate them from the rest of the pack, I think this rail just did that for me, great job!

Things have been busy, from traveling to college classes I have not been able to work on the Dragster. I just reinstalled the rear end with a titanium axle made by John Foster at http://www.quartermortar.com to save a little weight. I am working on the rear wing that he made for me as well. Things are coming along again. Al

Thanks vwguru75, i have worked hard to get it that way!!!

I just installed the rear wing that John Foster made for me, i think it has too much attitude and I need to remake the adjusters. At least it is starting to look like a dragster. Al
