Hi Mike,

I also make 3D-Parts on my Printer (Ultimaker 2) for Quarterscale Cars and put the files on grabcad.com for a free download. Let me know if someone is interested in this air intake for a RACO Indy Car.

its a really cool hobby. i am having a blast printing all sorts of junk!!! printed a 50% scale skellenger the other day and am trying to print out air horns for the 1/4 scale coupe right now. I have a ton to print, just not enough time. I even have steering wheels and such. It quite amazing!!!!

Thank you guys. I am so happy about this Forum and the people here. I put the files on grabcad under following link:

https://grabcad.com/library/raco-indy-car-air-intake-1

It is a free download but you have to open an account.

Please leave a comment.

It would also be very nice to have more 3D parts of Quarterscale cars at grabcad like a Skellenger ;-)

Very nice. What you need now is a metal printer. There are some but still expensive and mostly made for small parts. They often use stainless steel which is too heavy for our needs.

Where did you get the 3D files of a skellenger? Or did you made them by yourself?

A friend made them a long time ago when I was going to reproduce rears.

Printed the scoop last night. It's awesome!! I printed the ring upside down. Did not realize it had a recess in it. So going to redo that piece. Main peice came out awesome.

Uploaded center section and side covers. Do you have the ability to make a rear cover? I am not good enough with cad yet to make one.

some may not even notice from your pics, but that scoop is killer. It even has a gasket seal recess on the face. Its a super sturdy part with plenty of reinforcement. You really put some thought into this.
