New RC4WD knock off hubs.

Post by big maestro »

These were just released for sale. They will work on any car that skellenger hubs would fit. The shoulder bolt will be different on different cars. I installed these on a bunch of different cars with no issues. The machine work and finish are top notch...The price is the best part... Check them out.

With 114 views I hope atleast half of you bought a set. Not so long ago skellenger knock-offs were selling for well over $1000.
These guys are willing to bring some really cool products to our hobby at an affordable price. They have some exciting projects in the works. But... they need our support.

Also, I didn't mention in the opening thread the hubs are right and left threaded...

A good many of you have seen the recent announcement of hubs/knock offs from RC4WD. It's a great product at a very reasonable price. The product has been in development and testing for more than a year. Lance Jones has worked with RC4WD to bring this outstanding product to market. He has given valuable input on design and marketing...he has been involved in testing the product. This announcement is the beginning of what we will be seeing from RC4WD. And, I believe products such as this will add an element of excitement and affordability to our hobby! Lance has long been a driving force in our quarter scale. He never fails to help when needed! All of this to say "Thank You" to Lance for his time, effort and results!!

Received the knock off hubs today and want to post photos of the actual product on the Gilmer.

First off, the product is wonderful, super fast shipping, packed well and going in the right direction bringing affordable upgrades to 1/4 scales.

My only complaint is they sent me 2 right hand rear hubs by accident other then that I'm very pleased with the hubs!

Lets hope RC4WD (as Casey was once trying to do) "Bring back 1/4 scale one piece at a time" and not get sucked into the black hole forever.

Helllo Emilio,
That's a nice find. I also heard that story from Jan years ago. I got my two sets and one set had two left hand front hubs. Very nice. I wish they had left the aluminum in it's natural color.
But the price is right!!!

Big I'm hoping they make the quick change rear without the sleeves and knuckles just a straight axle, I don't see why they don't, it would probably be a lot cheaper and less work? can't wait to see their future 1/4 scale line up, wheels perhaps?

Oldschool their support team got back to me and are sending the right part, they answered very quick on the issue.

thanks lance , just got my box today they look great,,Emilio and I must have gotten packing specialist # 27 lol both my front hubs were right hand, just sent a email to support I know they'll straighten it out for me but I have to say these things look really good . also have to agree on the rear ends if you don't make them as long or without the steering knuckles
