they had them made just for their cars. The cars originally sold in the 10-40k range. Very high dollar pieces. Poor Scumbags like me should not even be allowed to touch one...

Glad some one got this as I have been looking at it for several years but could not see paying what they wanted for it... Maybe we can do a TIME SHARE on cars like this and display them in our homes on a weekly or monthly basis based on how much one pays... Just a thought

Wow, did he really have it for years? I did know he had some complete sets of them and such but just saw this one come up a couple months ago. Then again, i had not looked for quite some time.

So your idea? What about the guy that chips in $200 and gets to keep it for 1hr, but never sends it on.... Hmmmm. :D

interesting concept mike,
sorta like a 1/4 scale car library, instead of books you get out a car,you might be onto something there, only problem ,i think that there would be alot of overdue returns as it would be hard wanting to give these back!,
cheers mike

yea, big money for these cars. It was scary just transporting it in my car.

That cruise was in the Caribbean. We also did one to Panama. Next month we are hitting up Alaska. We always cruise on Holland America. They take good care of us and we are the youngest people on the ship. Its a lot of fun!! Small groups of people.

Here are some good pictures of the car. Taking the body off is basically impossible without messing up the paint, so unfortunately, the body is NOT coming off.

Okay...That's just TOOOOOOO much.

You know, I'm always razzing people for not running their cars (if you don't run it, it's just a big die-cast) and I'm not a shelf-queen kinda guy. To me, there ain't no girl too purdy to kiss, no car too purdy to run...

BUUUTTTT...

That Maserati's a freakin' museum piece. I have driven all kinds of RC cars, old ones, new ones, 100+ mph ones, offroad, onroad, nitro, gas and electric... and I'm usually 100% confident in driving most any RC car...but not that one. I'd be such a throttle-wussy taking that for a spin. It's just tooo nice. You actually found a car I think is TOO NICE TO RUN.

Never thought I'd see the day.... or the car.

 Man, i cant believe you said that... Still in shock!!!

Also, the steering wheel is hooked to the servo so that when you turn the steering wheel, it turns the front wheels too.

Ok, screw it, i am going to run it tonight. The radio is an old AM radio, but i am sure it will be fine. Its also really dark out but thats cool....  just joking

I dont know the weight, but by picking it up, i would say 40 or so pounds. The belt goes to a gear box that a electric motor is attached to. It has a electric starter and thats part of it.
