I'm new and here is my first quarter creation

Post by Mudtyresonly »

Hello,
I'm french and I'd like to show you a rc car I've made with a friend.
56 cc 3.5 CV Stihl 2 stroke engine
4 WD
4 WS (2 Yankee Turn Force)
DWA suspension arms (we have two of these cars in pieces)
18 kg
Belt drive
Actually they look more as on-road cars but they're made for off-road...
Next project on paper is a quarter replic of a Tamiya Rough Rider powered by a Honda 35 cc 4 stroke engine and equiped with a pocket bike CVT transmission.
It's grate to reed all your posts !

They look great. Post more pics with the bodies on them and maybe some action shots.
Nice work.

Here are some more pictures.
You will not believe it but I don't have pics during action.
My friend has some video shots taken during run-in period.
Due to lack of time, these cars still need some minor mods and we don't have bodies for them actually... :?

You can see that there is still some work to do.
Shock dampers brackets are not the final ones.
Tyres will be mountainboard inflatable tyres (approx. 8" O.D.).
Funny thing is that with the use of a programmable mixing transmitter, it allows us to turn rear wheels in opposite of the front one but more interesting even in parallel. I let you imagine what happen then...
This is done by the mean of a switch, so even during action...
8)
If only I would have more time to work on them...
