DWA Porsche 956

Post by Andy »

Hi,
Havent't posted so much lately, but here are some pics from my latest project.
About a year ago, I bought a DWA ram. It was a very nice car, came with a brand new unmounted 4WD set and was not driven very much.
That type of car is built for climbing mountains, the only problem was that they had put a Porsche 956 shell on it.
So I decided to rebuild the shell (it was full of holes where it's not supposed to be holes) and no holes where they should have been.
I put it on a Yankee race chassi instead (lots of work) and I still have the ram chassi on which I will put a pickup shell later on.
Hope you will enjoy the pics. I also enclosed some old ones.

Hey Funky,
Being a bit of a sprintcar nut myself, I'm with you on this.
Andy, I'd also like to see some closer shots of the sprintcar.

Here are som more pics of the sprint car, Also include some other pics. I'm very satisfied with my new working area in the garage.
The sprint car is missing the front drive belt and I would be very happy if anyone can sell me one, or tell me the dimensions that it should have. Also very interested in four knock-off nuts.
The sprint car is an upcoming project as well as the Escort body. I haven't decided colour scheme etc yet.

I was thinking for a long time to build one myself, but ended up buying one, build in Sweden that is three years old.
It has only been driven for ca 1.000 miles.
It is a Factory five kit with a Ford Mustang -94 302 engine. 5 speed manual gearbox.
Pretty much a basic standard kit.
But, what a fun ride.
