Raco GN to Stadium truck conversion.

Post by PTModIT »

The last Raco GN I bought I made into a Stadium truck.I made the front kick up bumper .The aluminum rear swing arms came with some extra parts from a Jac-Rabbit. Then added Jac-Rabbit Shocks. Just a new paint job and some taller wheels and it's ready to go.Image, Image, Image, Image, Image, Image.

Hi, The rims are for a Raco. They came in a parts lot that I bought. If you have a lawnmower ,snowblower repair shop near you they should be able to order them .The size is 9x3.50-4 .Just to warn you, the rims are not a perfect fit ,meaning there is side to side play of the rim and tire bead. Which means the tire will not inflate centered on the rim.I was going to have a machine shop press fit a aluminum ring to take up the space and center the tire. But it was going to cost too much.So I just used fiberglass packing tape and wrapped it around the rim and built up layers to get a snug fit.The tires aired up perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I know where to buy the tires but not the rims. Are you saying that a local small engine shop will know where to get these rims? I know they can about the tires but not sure about the rims

Thanks

I think I might have some older WCM 6 hole rims.I wonder if the are the same size bolt pattern? And they won't be perfect.I can take a look. But no guarantees.

This is what I have.4 complete rims. They are 3".That's the size for those tires.Look at the pics. The 1" halves have the scrapes on the rim bead. The one rim laying on it's side is glues together and the 1" half has a small valve glued in .So that extra half is if you don't want that little hole in the rim when the valve is removed.3 of the 2" halves are in good shape. The other one has a ding .Also the rims have the 6 holes and the 4 holes in them except for one of the 1" halves. They need some TLC .The rim that looks dirty is the one that is glued. We did that to put air in them, hence the little valve stem.Image, Image, Image, Image, Image, Image.
