WCM 34 FORD!!!

Well, it finally happened!!! I have been looking for an original one of these for a long time. I eventually purchased a pro street style one with a conley and blower. Its a cool car, but i have always loved the look of an old school 34. A good friend in Florida let me know a couple weeks he may be willing to finally let his baby go... so i jumped on the opportunity and pulled the trigger. I have always loved his car and i actually almost bought it years ago... The funny thing is it was listed on craigslist in portland if i remember correctly... The guy wanted $3000? for it? I can't remember the exact number since it was so long ago, but it was a killer deal! When i called him, he said he just sold it earlier that day :( I was soooo bummed to hear that until i found out who got it. I ended up paying a lot more for it, but it was a very fair deal and i am very happy with the purchase. It feels great to have it in my garage. It has a lot of small custom details that really sets it apart. It needs a full restoration and I am eager to start working on it.

Very happy guy today!!! :) I haven't been this excited about Qscale for a long time.

Good find Mike. Looks like it should restore easily. There's something classy about the look of that style setup. The V8 doesn't hurt the look either.

Good luck with it and keep us posted on it's progress.

You got to admit Mike this one is a very special car to have in a collection and probably one of the only true to scale 1/4 scales out there made by a manufacturer. I love mine to death and very proud to have one. Here's a photo of the 1 to 1 with supported spoke rims, WCM did this one to the T. Not familiar with the emblem, looks like a race dog?

I really miss this car. But I hated the idea of having a car and being afraid to run it around. I had it for years and ran it once I think. my thinking is if it's built to run, you run it. After all that's what differentiates these from static models. Maybe I'm just trying to justify the reasoning for selling it. LOL.

Specialk1, where do you live? You are more than welcome to come by and check my collection.
Mike, I would like to get one without the v8. That way I can run it when I want and not be afraid. So if you have a lead, please bring it my way.
