Thanks oldschooler,
Looks like I'll just have to work out the time difference and give Mr Gilmer a call.....
You said....."These midgets are like potato chips, you just can't have one."
I'd just like to see one up close, to start with.......LOL

two more in the shop. Again, not mine, but very cool machines. The black one houses a custom conley engine that was cut in half to make it a 4 cyl. The red one is actually the first gilmer car ever produced. It was their prototype!!! Very, Very cool piece to have at the house. Julie is going to sleep on the floor tonight just so these have a warm place to stay.

the red one runs and is quite impressive. My favorite so far is the black and then the yellow one.

Yea, heard you were there... What the hell are you doing? Sounds like you have been doing a ton of traveling lately.

Anyway, my friend is anxious to get these back. So its time to send them on their way. I could use the space anyway :) LOL!!

Well finally here is my Gilmer Midget finished. Wasn't sure where to post it, as it's not truly a Jan Gilmer car. I fabricated a lot of the parts.....dogbox, radiator, steering set-up, so I will never claim this to be a Gilmer. I class it as my tribute to Jan and his wonderful midgets
I would like to thank Jan publically here and now, for his assistance in getting my midget to this standard. I will only place 2 photos here. The rest will be in the "projects in progress" thread that I started in relation to this car.
