Calico 2011

Post by Mike Casey »

This was our first time camping here. Julie and i stopped here 10 years ago once on the way back from las vegas. We get emails all the time with camping info for this area so we decided to give it a shot. Its called the Calico ghost town, its in the desert and about 2.5 hrs from our home. Just about midway to las vegas. The camp site was awesome and the offroading was even BETTER!!! You could spend a week out back there without hitting the same trail twice. Its an old mining area and there are lots of mines and old towns to discover. There are also a LOT of shooting areas available out there so if you need a break from offroading, you just pull over and squeeze off a few!

Needless to say, we will be back!
