Re: 1/4 scale mini pick up
they way i would do it (without any fancy machine or press) is to get a dremel or another type of small cutting tool with a very thin blade, mark out where you need the louvers on the panel in question leaving enough gap between them so you can "flare" them out so they look right, get a block of wood, and carve (or using an angle grinder carefully with a sanding pad to get the shape) out of 1 edge the reverse of a louver, sort of like a photo negative, then with a hammer and chisel, carefully knock the louvers open into the negative on the piece of wood, if you do it carefully enough, you can do them as large or as small as you like
i really hope this makes sense funky, if not i could always do some myself on a scrap piece of steel and post up a "how to" to show you what i mean

Re: 1/4 scale mini pick up
bit more of an update, got the rear side panels finished and tacked into place, and made up a rear panel (only did it flat, the detail will be in the numberplate and rear lights)

Re: 1/4 scale mini pick up
After some thought, i decided the original chassis was gonna weigh a fair bit, not so good for speed! so have had a rethink and a redesign and have come up with this...
the plate in the middle is where the 50cc minimoto engine will sit
after some more thought, i realised i had to modify the chassis at the rear to allow me to fit my bearing block (which is actually a minimoto wheel centre smoothed down! = nice and light =

Made a start on the new chassis today, its gonna be a monster considering that engine is a mini moto one! And I still need to finish the rear end of the frame!
