Best looking Sprintcar?
Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Yeah that orange car with the disk brakes is beautiful, it would be by far my favorite sprinter if it had a conley and skellenger in it. But I would have to vote this car, with a better paint scheme it would be awesome.
Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together.
Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
I love these cars, they are very beautiful. But I prefer the stock car look (like the WCM GN) because that's what I grew up with. My father and all his friends would race the full size stock cars down here at Hialeah speedway my entire childhood and well into my teens. And when they had no race they would be working on the cars all day and night. Luckily my brother and I had the opportunity of racing there before they closed down for good back in 2000.
I think what we end up loving the most is what we had been exposed to most as children. The sprint cars never really made it this far south because we had no dirt tracks here. My step father raced sprints and midgets back in the day, maybe someone may remember him Greg Parke.
Sorry to veer off topic, I just was vocalizing a thought I had about why I love the cars I do, that was sparked by what Funky had said, and then memory lane ran away with me LOL.

The best sprinter I've ever seen is this one built by Mark Davis from Brisbane Australia. Had the pleasure of seeing this car in person and also racing against it. I told Mark that is was way too good to race and should be under glass....which the new owner has done! Mark built a second sprinter for his son and he always said that car was his best work.

Re: Best looking Sprintcar?
Joe Bruni owned and built that car for Car Action Mag. I was good friends with Joe, and he put the car in my shop on display. I wound up trading Joe a Grand National for the Car, and a fellow in Canada traded me two Grand Nationals for it!!!
That Car was WCM's poster child for a long time!!!!!!
