Some sheet metal work
Some sheet metal work
I have a few ford projects going on....way in the planning stage to post. A 32 that was originally funkys, a 32 hi boy and 34 ford... I am going to attempt to make the 32 out of aluminum... Welding the aluminum is the easy part but I'm a little green in metal bending and shaping...
Here was my practice attempt with some sheet metal before I use the aluminum
Critics are welcome..lol

Wow nice job.
Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together.

Ok. Couldn't set in down.... I think the aluminum is going to be easier because the metal is going to be a little bit thinker and that will give me a little fudge factor..

Put the bib on the bottom and gave her a spoiler at the same time. . I think it's got some sexy lines. Got lots of filing and sanding to do but it is there... If this was aluminum which the next one will be it would be getting the old shine and polish treatment...
Re: Some sheet metal work
On the body. I really don't care that it does not match the body .... My part is straight..
Re: Some sheet metal work

Thanx Funky. It's gonna be fun doing the body...... This is a dry run with steel.... Aluminum is next... But... For this one.....although the frame I bought from is awesome I'm going to have to make my own.....most likely copy yours but a new one will have to be made so I can call this my own...ill use the one I bought for a fiberglass body

Here is a pic of the templates I made from the original car.....only make 1/2 of the part then trace it to make an exact half. Then tape them together as you see I did.... Trace it on the metal and bend and shape away... Also. Make the template out of good construction paper then quality card stock...as for thickness of metal I really don't know but it's pushing my hand cutting snipes to the limit if that helps...
