Re: My new project.
Now that's a blast from the past...I had the Redline Hotwheels and 1/25 model kits of the "Red Baron" when I was just a little gearhead...great project...can't wait to see more progress pics!
Re: My new project.
Comparing the model to the sketch I need more length in the body.

Re: My new project.
man that will be awesome!!
Re: My new project.
Fingers and toes crossed!! I think 27" wheel base may be to long for this, unless you make it larger then 1/4 scale... I think?
Re: My new project.
Hi , That's just a starting point for the wheelbase. I saw frame spec of 107" to 109". I just wanted to get the frame at the rear to look right then the body to fit . If the engine fits in the space left then I can shorten the wheelbase.
Re: My new project.
Pt I'm working with someone that may produce a C-Channel frame rail and cross member for me, they still have to get back to me. This type of frame rail I'll leave to the people with water jets and experience, tube chassis I could handle. I'll let you know when it happens, you never know you might be able to use a set for this build?

Re: My new project.
Thanks. I was going to use 1/2"x3/4" steel tubing.
Re: My new project.
It's going to be very if not exactly like this. Being that your build looks to be in the T-Bucket and 32 hot rod area, these might work. Just waiting on an answer from the fabricators.
Re: My new project.
Looking at the model and the full size car. The frame was straight from the front to rear. Not a wedge shape.
Re: My new project.
Yes you are absolutely right, this falls in the 1923 1927 era. more like this. Pt hope you don't mind the photos?
Re: My new project.
Not at all. I've got some of the same pics.
Re: My new project.
Looks like a cool project , a lot of creativity. How do you post pictures to this site? I'm working on a pair of 70's fuel altered, Nanook and the Rat Trap. Nanook is done except for paint and the Rat Trap is in process
