I forgot about doing this. That was a very long time ago. I stopped monitoring prices quite a few years ago.

If anyone would like to take a stab at the prices I think it would interesting. Just pick any car you know of and go from there. I paid 1,700.00 for my recent purchase of the raco gtp brand new. Also a new raco Indy was sold for 3600. I believe?

amazingly enough, these prices still mostly almost look in line. Add some inflation and there you go!
