Heres some pics of the engine, i just cant stop grinning to myself.....
Anyone have any links to Hubs , stubs, rims and tyres, i would be most appreciated.
Also added a pic of the Cobra file that i was going to machine out a body from. Going to be doing a Half scale one too , for a go-kart project too.
Warm regards Mick

The body looks out of scale. Will the engine fit under the hood with that much rake on it?

Hi Mike,
It is a bit of an optical illusion with the rake, it is actually full scale drawings . But saying that, i am not 100% sure it will all fit ?, maybe i will have to scale it up a tad untill it does?

The stinger is much larger then the 427. Thats why Gary stopped making the cobra, because the new engine wouldn't fit. Maybe you can mount the engine closer to the ground compared to the original location of the engine in the cobras?

Are you ever planing to run the engine :) ?

2 years is a long wait, Congrats on your engine! The stinger 609 is a beast, I've seen one and held one in person. The only application this would look proper in are rails, funny cars, 32 34 hot rods or the best candidate would be a T-bucket. To place it in a cobra you would have to build a body around the engine which would exceed any standard 1/4 scale, then add the fact that all other components, wheels and tires would also have to match. Purely my opinion. Here's a couple of photos with the owner and his 609.

Thanks for the replys guys, I understand to fit this into a Cobra 1/4 scale may not be best, that is why i am prepared to scale it up , if that means to custom make Everything, then so be it. I have the CAD drawings for the Rims and Body already , so thats a start. Bought a Rear end a few weeks ago so that was one piece of the puzzle.
I will Play around on the computer tonight and see where the scale factor can fit it all under the bonnet.
Yes i do intend on running it, that was part of the reason why i bought the engine in the first place, I just cant wipe the smile off my face everytime i walk into the garage and see it .
Take care guys

They will tell you hundreds and even thousands. However, I would guess a true number is 50 of each generation or so. Even the cobras were said to be in the 100's. I have a relatively late model and the serial number is 11
