Jon Rahe's shop

Post by bobjeffreson »

Saw these photos for the 1st time yesterday. The family of a 1/4 scale mate of mine, were using them to try and get his brain working again, after a severe stroke last year. I think they were taken in 1995/6 on a 1/4 scale buying and recon trip to the 'States. On that trip Jeff got to meet all the big guns of 1/4 scale, back in the day. He told his family and me that the photos were in Jon's shop in Santa Ana. I nearly fell of my chair and said "how come you've never shown me these in 20 years". He shot straight back..."I didn't think you be interested"

A few of these used to be in the legends section of the site. When the site was redone, i don't think they got put back on. Great stuff!

Thanks Mike,
Only too happy to keep the history alive. More photos to come from Jeff's trip back in the day.

Al if you look through the archive stuff as well as the DVD, there should be a ton of RACO shop photos as well as the original Yankee shop.

Very Cool. I have the Hardee's Indy Car body ( and car) in the photo that I got it from Mike a few years ago.

I've always scanned old magazine articles and videos trying to find a little history on who
may have raced this car back in the day. Pretty cool to see these photos.
