Hi Jean Phi. I'm in the proccess of refreshing my old and beloved Savo and I need where to find the kit which allows to relocate the carburettor at the rear allowing to fit the last bodyshell design.
Any ideas ?

I had to relocate the carburetor on a project 90 degrees and chose to make the flanges out of brass plate and the tube out of a 90 degree fitting. I soldered everything up with silver solder and it works fine. My project was not a restoration and authenticity was not a concern. Making aluminum flanges shouldn't be a problem, but bending the aluminum tube without kinks can be a challenge. I've filled tubes with fine sand and ice to prevent kinking while bending. I person skilled in TIG welding will be needed to weld the pieces together. For this project, I would make flanges out of brass or copper and an intake tube from soft copper, solder the manifold together, paint it silver and wait until an original manifold comes along! Hope this helps.

Finishing my restoration too. Just a few details to put it on the road again with some improvements (carbon parts, new wings, alu uprights, new carb, hydraulic brakes....) Happy to see brothers here !
Cheers,
Javier
