Re: Ferrari 330 P4
The Engineering of the gearbox is nearly finished.
Today I got the offer to the three metal parts of the transmission. It amounts to about 3000 dollars. I have briefly thought about crowdfunding
Any other suggestions?
Maybe the engine fits better in another vehicle. I already have an idea ...

Re: Ferrari 330 P4
That 330 ferrari is amazing! Have you been able to figure out the length issue? You had mentioned on putting it in another vehicle? Would you want to sell the yankee 330 body you detailed so beautifully? Just curious. I hope you can make it work with your original vision but thought I would ask. Beautiful work!

Re: Ferrari 330 P4
Hi Brendon,
Yes, I thaught about selling the Body. But maybe there will be an other Project I can use it. I decided not to spent 3000$ for a gearbox and I do not want to place the V8 in the middle of the car that is clear so far.
Do you know the RACO Indy with the Luther V8? I got a Yankee F1. The engine would fit perfectly. But right now I had to finish the gilmer first. New Project starts in Autumn. If I sell the P4 Body you would be the first to know...

Re: Ferrari 330 P4
Rc purely my opinion, I think the Yankee Viper would do this engine justice with a forward tilting front clip on a hinge to expose the engine.

I drilled over 1200 holes for the rivets and made a lot of cutouts to keep it as
close to the original as possible.
The Chassis will be a completely new design.

Re: Ferrari 330 P4
In the meanwhile I finished the PBS. The engine is also little special. It is a SCZ Racing 29CC 9HP Reed engine. Think this works better with the Ferrari 330 P4 body...

That looks amazing! I've been wondering where this project was. I'm glad to see it continuing. Please post the pics. I love that detailed P4 body you did (as to why I was bugging you to sell it). What beautiful work you do! Simply amazing!!!
