How to finish a gilmer midget racer

Post by rc garage berlin »

One of my new projects. First I built every Gilmer part in 3D (except the body). I want to use an old but never run ZENOAH G2D with Tuning MRZ Cylinder head, two disc brakes at the rear axle and shocks in the front...

...just a little space left :-)

I found a position for the gas tank or it is a problem with the centre of gravity?

I think thats jans custom stuff but looks like you can put a rotostart on it, or make a custom hub there that adapts to the starer wand of the roto start ya done
Really nice work there!!!!!

This is a rear jan made for his gilmers , was supposed to go behind a maloney100 or something suitable. It has a in out box with working lever. Its smaller than a skellenger but uses same gears and all

I am so happy. The zenoah fits the body perfectly without large cutouts.

Hi Rc, hope you don't mind me posting my Gilmer here? I just got this Gilmer on ebay but haven't received it yet, should be Friday. My question is, looking at the photos from the auction, what are my options for a drivetrain?

Engine has been installed by the previous owner, it is a Zenoah g23. Or should I start over? Thanks.

Emilio
