It's a nice car but the rear wheel arches do not 'envelope' the trailing faces of the rear wheels. This may or may not be a problem, depending on one's views.

Yea, i thought that was wierd too. But I also wonder if the body is sitting on the chassis wrong? It seems high back there. Maybe if it was lower, it would look good?

Mike: Take a look at this .... pretty well every 905 I've seen has rear wheel arches like this.

When I first saw this auction I believe it was 1,800.00 plus, when I went back a second time it was 1,285.00 so I snatched it up regardless of the rear cut. But now as I do more and more research I find that I think I made a big mistake. First, did yankee make this car with a flat pan type chassis? and if you compare the photos I'm providing it looks to me as though the seller had a shorter wheelbase chassis and cut the 905 body to fit the short wheelbase. I'm going to try and get a refund for inaccurate description. What do you guys think? am I seeing things or am I'm I crazy?

the wheelbase looks shorter, look at the length of the red, yellow, bleu decals, the lines are shorter.
at the top you can also see that the blackpart is more near the rear wheel
he says the body off a courage fits on it,and that schassis is shorter.
conclusion for me is,the schassis is courage with a 905 shortened body
the wheelarc at the rear is cut bad at the end
the schassis that i have is the same as at the picture, but not like the one on ebay
what you can do is buy a courage body at yankeeshop and make the best off it.

Hi Emilio:

Frank may have a good point. It is still a very nice chassis. It could be that the seller thought it was a 905 and advertised it in good faith. Anyway, for what it's worth here is a 'clip' from the Yankee Chassis Evolution. Please excuse the poor translation ... I am an anglophone

Fortunately the seller refunded my money in full. Next time I'll do the math before I hit that damn "Buy It Now" button. I knew this was to good to be true and thanks to Kevin for pointing this out right away or I'd be very sad right now.

Thanks Kevin, yea the seller was top notch for the refund and i think it was a women, this was her ex-husbands car. The next purchase I make is for still another Yankee or Mikes Daytona coupe frame, which I hope comes first.
