Quick question, I'm looking to re-locate my rear end mounts on my New Era Dragster. Can I MIG weld them in their new location or do I need to have them TIG welded?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: WELDING ON A NEW ERA CHASSIS
Not sure why New Era decided to weld them with the driveshaft on a 20-30 degree upwards slope.
I'm installing a V 8 Conley and don't like the way it looks with the angle of the driveshaft.
Moving up the rear end mounts will enable me to straighten out the drive shaft and raise the engine for better header clearance.

Either is fine. Tig will just look better.
